On Sunday my mother and mother-n-law hosted a baby shower for yours truly at my house for family and close friends. The weather wasn't pretty (cold and wet), but we knew in advanced so we were prepared and setup the party all inside. It ended up working out perfectly, but obviously it wasn't the outside bohemian feel I was going for like the inspirations photos in the previous post. I stuck with a lot of pink, creams, and whites to give the shower an airy feel. I also got to pull out and use a lot of decor that I bought for our wedding and use dining/entertaining pieces I have collected over the years.
A late lunch was provided and catered by Olive Garden, with a few appetizers like caprese salad, olives, and veggies. The desserts were a carrot cake from a local baker, an assortment of single serving dessert from Olive Garden, and some brownie bites and mini red velvet cupcakes from the grocery store.
After lunch we painted onesies, which was a hit and I was amazed at all the creativity and talent that was displayed on both sides of my family. Amos and I are going to have one stylish kid. Then the evening ended with me opening all of the generous gifts for baby Harrison.
Overall the party was a success and I couldn't have been happy with the outcome and all the love and support from our families. Here are a few pictures from the shower, enjoy!
