Prince Home Tour

Thanks for stopping by y'all! Here is a look inside of my second home purchased in March of 2014 and sold in June 2017.

There are more pictures available on my instagram and here is the story of us selling this house.

Oh and don't forget to stop and see pictures of my first home, The Loft, here

Some background notes, the house (a ranch style house) was originally built in the 1950's, but an addition was added on; which included a huge master suite, dining/entertaining area, and living room (easily an additional 1500 square feet). It has three bedroom and two bathrooms. There has been some debate about whether the house is the listed 2600 square feet or closer to 2800/2900 square feet; either way it is over double the space of the loft so this means more decorating space for me!!

The house is "in the loop", in the desired Heights/Timbergrove area, so we are close to all of the restaurants and shops that we love (You can read more about "in the loop" activities from a post I wrote, here).

I have added some updated pictures of each area/room and everything is still a work in progress as design always is. I also, hopefully in the near future, will try to post a 2D floor plan of our house.

For even more current photos of our house you can always check out my instagram

Here is the perfect wall to have all of our books and built-in bookshelves. Here is something what I want, but in a white/cream color, here
Before: View as soon as you enter the front door. Formal living room.

You can also see that we removed the ceiling fan and old dining room chandelier since we weren't planning on using that space as a eating area, and replaced them with these gold accent lights. We recently added recessed lighting above the mantel and additional accent gold lighting.

We updated our hallway, which you can see the full post here

A fun tray in the formal living room.

Now we move to the kitchen, I like to call the heart of the house. I plan on getting rid of the peninsula and redoing the counter tops and back-splash to look something more like this here

Another bar cart, the newest addition, I am a total bar cart addict.

This is are huge dining/entertaining area right off of the kitchen. I have already got this gorgeous table here, from Restoration Hardware on sale. It looks great!

This is also part of the add on and love how open all the space is and the beautiful natural light.

Most people when they see this picture think it is a second kitchen, well it is a utility room, a very large utility room. This room is one of the greatest assets to the house. I plan to use half of it as a craft room and the other half for storage and cleaning supplies. Amos also now has his very own beer/wine fridge.

The master suite is very large and has access to the outside porch. We plan on removing the tile and adding the same wood that is throughout the house

Before: Master Bedroom

I plan on redoing this whole bathroom a few years down the line, but for a temporary solution is looking at Ikea and something like this here

Before: Walk in Closet (1 of 2 in the Master Bathroom)
Built-ins complete, mine in white, Amos's in a dark wood.
The front guest bedroom is currently going through a second makeover, a work in progress...see more details here.

Here is what the room looked like before and you can see more photos, here

The second bedroom/office was originally put together quickly for our house warming/engagement party, and had a look like this here and then shortly after that it had a few upgrades and looked like this here. However, when we found out we were pregnant I went straight into planning mode and got this room ready for the nursery for baby boy, you can see the full nursery reveal tour here

And I conclude the end of the tour with our backyard.

  2. Could you kindly share the paint color used in your main living room area (I am looking for a color similar to the paint color in the picture with a chair in the corner and a good view of your lemon branches in the green vases). Thank you for sharing -- beautiful work!
