May Road Trip: Grand Canyon

I'm continuing to share the May road trip I took this year with our last major stop, The Grand Canyon. I cannot believe it took me 32 years to finally see this amazing site. We hiked along the southern trail, which is a few miles long and took a bus back to where we originally parked. The colors like the other sites where so incredible that the pictures don't really do it justice. The scale of the Grand Canyon almost is too vast to really comprehend or visually grasp how big it is. I will say I was expecting to see just a huge crack in the ground that was super deep, but as you can see from the pictures that isn't so. There are so many levels to it and it is very wide.

I would love one day to do a hike down into the Grand Canyon and spend a few days camping. I looked into one along time ago through REI, after I did a hike in Yosemite, which I talk about here, but never felt like I was in shape enough for that adventure...maybe one day. I hope you enjoy the visual beauty of the Grand Canyon I tried to capture in my pictures, but if ya'll haven't been it is definitely a must see place.
