Wedding Update - Engagement Party Planning
Hey y'all! I thought I would share a little update on how the wedding planning process is going. Amos and I are still pretty laid back and feel like we have all the time in the world to plan; however, I know that as soon as January comes the time will fly. We have gotten all of the big stuff done already, like the venue and church, see post here.
Our agenda has changed a little and now we are in full engagement party mode. It seems a little late to have one, but with traveling and moving we just didn't have time to do one in the spring. It works out though because we are combining our house warming party with it as well, so it is a two for one party! Below are some of the ideas that I have pinned (see full board here) or have already got for the party.
The first purchase we got for the party is a customized corn-toss game from StyleMyCorntoss at etsy.com. It was great because they send a proof before they start the process so you can see how amazing it is going to be! This will be a fun game to play in the backyard while sipping on a few beers/cocktails. We couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.
Amos and I have that large chalkboard in the dining/entertaining area, which you can see the post here, how I did it. This will be the first event where we can really decorate it; below are a couple of inspiration photos of what I can do for the party.
I bought a few folding rounded and rectangle tables online at walmart. I figured we can reuse them down the road or with all the family events we have there will also be a need for them. The chairs we will probably rent out since I don't want anyone to have to bring anything. This is a time for everyone to eat and relax and have fun. Here is an idea I loved to decorate the tables and the dessert table. I even already have the gold and white chevron paper runner, which I got at Paper Source awhile back.
I can't wait to have this party with all our close friends and family. Lots of pictures will be taken when we have the event so I see a fun future post.
Yeah it’s quite difficult to host wedding planning without any wedding coordinator. The most terrific task is to find out best and amazing venues in San Francisco. So I’ll recommend everybody that you have to hire some professionals because without coordinators you cannot organize your day perfectly.
