Arranging Flowers on a Budget!!

You know when you walk into a grocery store and you go in for one item, but come out with a basket full of stuff. Well that happened to me yesterday at Kroger's when I went in for one item and I saw all of the flowers on sale for $3.99. So needless to say I walked out of there with a cart full of flowers and spending less than 25 dollars on the whole bunch. I spend a few hours messing around with making the arrangements and loved how they turned out. I hope I can find more steals like this in the future. Here are a few pictures of the arrangements, Enjoy!

Wedding Update - Engagement Party Planning

Hey y'all! I thought I would share a little update on how the wedding planning process is going. Amos and I are still pretty laid back and feel like we have all the time in the world to plan; however, I know that as soon as January comes the time will fly. We have gotten all of the big stuff done already, like the venue and church, see post here

Our agenda has changed a little and now we are in full engagement party mode. It seems a little late to have one, but with traveling and moving we just didn't have time to do one in the spring. It works out though because we are combining our house warming party with it as well, so it is a two for one party! Below are some of the ideas that I have pinned (see full board here) or have already got for the party.

The first purchase we got for the party is a customized corn-toss game from StyleMyCorntoss at etsy.com. It was great because they send a proof before they start the process so you can see how amazing it is going to be! This will be a fun game to play in the backyard while sipping on a few beers/cocktails. We couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.

Moroccan Wedding Blanket

I have been wanting a Moroccan Wedding Blanket for awhile now. I stumbled across a few websites that had them, but ended up going with Amber Interiors Shop, which has quite a few Moroccan blanket choices. I love the symbolism behind the blankets as well, good luck and fertility. Amos joked that the blanket was not allowed on the bed until after the wedding, but as soon as it came in I had to put it on and see how it looked. I absolutely love it and couldn't be more thrilled. I would love to add to the collection and maybe put one on the couch in the main living room. Here are a few pictures of the blanket on our bed.

Traveling Engagement Ring

I have been posting a lot about traveling recently and well I guess that has to do with me being away awhile from home traveling for work. I knew this long job was coming up and this would be my third trip since being engaged and I wanted a solution about an engagement ring. Since some of the places I travel and locations I go to are not suitable for fine jewelry, much less wearing jewelry period, I wanted an alternative ring for these travels and not my beautiful engagement ring that Amos designed for me. I stumbled across this etsy page on instagram and feel in love with her simple designs. I love everything in Artemer shop, I'll have one of everything please. I hope to add layers in the years to come. Here is the ring I chose, which is a design that I normally wouldn't go with, but I love how dainty and simple it is. A big plus as well is that there are two rings that can act as the engagement and wedding band. Here are the photos from the shop below of the ring I chose. Enjoy!

Travel Photo Wall

Hey guys, I thought I would share a little information on the travel wall I did in the loft with Amos. I am excited to say that if you type in "travel photo wall" on Pinterest mine pops up as one of the top pictures pinned or at least one of the top ideas for one. I get a lot of questions regarding where I got the watercolor world map. I got it on a day sale on a website called www.fab.com.  If you do a google search of watercolor maps, a lot of different websites pop up as well, www.etsy.com is a top site that has them. Majority of the black frames I bought in bulk from ikea, they were super cheap and they already had the thin matting with it. I hope this helps y'all out.
