Baby Room Progress & Updates Continued...

As I continue to get bigger and bigger and further along in this pregnancy I have been in full "go" mode to get things together for the baby room and really anything baby related. Plus it helps that I have more energy now than I did in my first trimester and in the beginning of my second trimester. I am almost complete with the nursery, I just have very small details to finish up and then I can share with y'all the full reveal, which I am dying to do because this room is my new favorite room in the house. In the meantime I will share with y'all my progress (from my last post see here) and some sneak peak photos.

Here is another post from our honeymoon, I hope y'all are enjoying these posts and finding inspiration or new travel ideas. I have a few more post in the near fear and that will complete our honeymoon travel pictures/experiences, but in the meantime let me continue sharing with y'all our 11th day of our honeymoon mediterranean cruise with us pulling up to Florence, Italy.

Updates to Our Formal Living Room

Alright guys I had to do it finally, I had to move the pink rug from our front living room. At first I absolutely loved the pink rug with the velvet blue sofa (purchased from Anthropologie, here). It was definitely a very colorful and edgier look than I normally go for. However, with the colors from the books and other accent objects the room was started to feel a little too much for me. Plus I wanted more of a flow from this room to our other living room, which definitely has a lighter palette.

House Life According to My Iphone...

Life has seemed to be going at supersonic speed lately. I feel like I have an ever growing list, I check things off, but then a few more items always seem to be added on. Some good news is that the baby room is really coming along I am hoping to have it completed by the end of this month, y'all can see sneak peeks on my instagram feed

I am really looking forward to the end of this week, I have my monthly prenatal massage and I get to celebrate a friend's engagement. It seems like our weekends are booking up fast and then there are the holidays that are approaching. I am trying to add some hints of fall around the house, but just haven't found the time or the energy (y'all can see some attempts in the picture below with the wreaths hanging on the bookcases). Hopefully things will slow down a bit and I can enjoy all the little moments in between before baby comes.

Maternity Style

Now that I am full swing into my second trimester majority of my "pre-pregnancy" clothes no longer fit or fit uncomfortably. Since this is my first pregnancy I was initially at a lost where to even begin when it came to shopping for maternity clothing. Of course my first go to source was Pinterest, which led me to other blog sites or shopping sites with items of pregnancy clothing. Over time and recommendations from friends and family I now feel like I have a grasp on some of the items that are working for me, especially dresses and bottoms. I am still in need of good sources/shops for tops and undergarments, but I have made some progress and will continue to do more research and take any and all advice.

In this post I will do a brief breakdown of what has been working for me and what items I have purchases so far. I am a curvier girl and will only expect to get more curves as this baby continues to grow so I have to keep a more realistic view on what items could and will work for me versus what just looks pretty on a model. Me and baby being comfortable are my number one priority. Of course there is always room to daydream of the perfect pregnancy style like Blake Lively was able to pull off so flawlessly in her first pregnancy.

Our Honeymoon: Mediterranean Cruise - Day 9 In Amalfi Coast & Sorrento

Day 9 of our cruise itinerary our ship was preparing to dock in Naples, Italy. It is a shame we only had one day to spend here because there were so many excursion options I wanted to take, like to see artwork and tour Naples or go visit Pompeii (I am a sucker for ruins). However, Amos and I ended up choosing brunch in Sorrento and viewing the Amalfi coast by land and sea. We do not regret our decision in choosing this excursion. The Amalfi coast is breathtaking and there were so many cute hotels off the cliffs that it made me wish we could spend a few nights in one of them. This is definitely a city I would love to come back to and explore every corner. I felt like there were small details everywhere in the rocks on the side of the cliffs to the accents on the buildings. Here are some pictures from our time there.
